Skits are great to do at home, in class, or at summer camp. Children have a great time, they bring out their great talents as actors and also learn important values such as respect or friendship. The theatrical representation that we propose here is designed to teach children what inclusion is and why we all must always keep it in mind in our daily lives. Ladies and gentlemen, do not miss a detail, this begins 'Los soles', a fun play about inclusion.
This play is intended to be done with children at home or at school. Its main objective is to make children aware of the importance of treating others in the same way that we like them to treat ourselves without making any distinction, and when we say treat everyone the same, we also refer to children who they have diseases or pathologies and to do it always from the respect, understanding and empathy.
This short play about inclusion is intended to be performed with a few students, however the script can always be adapted so that the more the better can perform. It could even be done with an entire class. Guaranteed fun!
- Work description: There was once a very special class called the class of the suns in which each child had something that made them different (now below you will understand what we mean), but for that reason they should not be treated differently. Although they all had something that made them special, they were the same as the rest of the children at school. There was also a little boy who had nothing different ... Will they all become friends? Let's see it!
- Characters: Joel (is a child who has trouble understanding things), Vera (has problems walking well), Elena (does not see well in the right eye), Ana (is a super active girl), Carlos (does not present any pathology) and Carolina, in the role of teacher. As we told you before, add as many more characters as you want.
- Place of action in which the work takes place: A school.
- Necessary material: Normal things that are usually in the class and eager to learn and have fun.
The curtain opens, the children are seen inside the class of the suns with the teacher.
Carolina: (goes to class) Hi guys, how did you guys spend the weekend?
Joel: (raises hand to speak) Okay, I went for a walk with my parents.
Ana: (He speaks quickly and enthusiastically) Well, I went to ride my bike, to eat at my grandmother's house and to play with my cousins.
Carolina: I'm glad, Ana. It's time to start doing the language exercises.
Joel: (Raises hand) I don't understand them, it's hard for me. (He throws the pencil on the ground because he is angry)
Carolina: Don't worry Joel, I'm going to help you do the language exercises. I almost forgot, after recess we are going to meet a new partner.
Everyone: (with a surprised face) Who is it?
Carolina: He is a boy who has just moved to the city. This is your first day of class here with us.
Vera: What is your name?
Carolina: His name is Carlos and I think he is a bit shy.
Elena: Well, after he meets us, he's sure to stop being so shy.
Ana: (excited) Yes! You're right!
The bell rings for recess time. The children get up from the table. The curtain closes.

Carolina: Guys, this is Carlos, he will be your new partner.
Charles: (in a shy voice) Hello everyone.

Ana: Do you like to play ball?

Vera: I don't like the ball at all. It's hard for me to walk, so I can't kick the ball.
Joel: Carlos, can you read well?
Charles: Yes, I am very good at reading.
Joel: Lucky for me, it's a bit difficult for me.
Carolina: Well guys, it's fine for now, we'll get to know Carlos little by little. Time to get on with homework.
After a while the bell rings, classes are over. The children stay at the door of the class talking, all except Carlos who is going home.
Vera: How strange is this new child, he has no problem walking like I do.
Elena: Nor does he have vision problems like I do in one eye.
Ana: Nor is he nervous all the time like me.
Joel: He is very smart, he understands everything the first time.
Vera: Well, anyway, he's one of our class so we'll have to be his friends.
Elena: Well yes, the teacher also said that he is a very shy child and he is new in town! Sure you really want to have friends and play with them.
Ana: It occurs to me that we can draw you a welcome drawing.
Joel: What a good idea! Shall we go back to class and do it now? So we can give it to you tomorrow morning.
Everyone: Yes yes
They go back to class and start drawing a super nice drawing for their new friend Carlos.
The curtain closes.

The children give the drawing to Carlos.
Charles: (looks at the drawing they have made) I love it! Thank you very much. The truth is that I was a little nervous about being new but now that I see that you want to be my friends I feel much better.
Ana: Of course we are going to be your friends!
Joel: Yes, and you can also help us with our homework and you can teach us how to play a football game.
Charles: I will be delighted!
At that moment the teacher enters class.
Carolina: I see that you already know Carlos a little more.
Elena: Yes, he is already one more friend.
Carolina: How glad I am! What one needs most when moving to another city is to make good friends. It is time to continue with the agenda, open the book to page 30.
Children open their book to make their tasks for the day happy and content. The curtain closes.
